Job Description:

The Manager of Information Security Systems Engineering leads a team of system and network administrators responsible for maintaining secure accredited and missioncritical information systems that support the Range & Test Solutions (RTS) Annual Services Contract. This role oversees classified and isolated network environments ensures compliance with Department of Defense cybersecurity standards and drives continuous improvement across infrastructure security operations and service delivery. The manager partners closely with engineering cybersecurity and program leadership to ensure reliable secure and compliant technical operations across multiple systems.

Essential Functions:

• Lead and manage a team of system administrators supporting multiple onsite classified accredited and isolated network environments.
• Oversee system operations across Windows Server Windows workstation environments Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers Active Directory email platforms endpoint security tools backup systems and network devices.
• Maintain compliance with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) Department of Defense (DoD) Cybersecurity Workforce requirements National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards and programspecific security directives.
• Coordinate technical planning system hardening patching and vulnerability management across RTS infrastructure.
• Support accreditation activities incident handling processes and preparation for customer security audits.
• Partner with program leadership to ensure secure reliable system performance supporting mission deliverables.
• Manage hardware resources network components and handson equipment that require onsite support.
• Support proposal development by providing technical cost and schedule inputs related to cybersecurity system administration capabilities staffing estimates and infrastructure requirements.
• Perform Control Account Manager (CAM) responsibilities including planning tracking and reporting cost and schedule performance using Earned Value Management (EVM) processes.
• Travel up to 5% for program or technical coordination.

Qualifications:

• Active US Secret security clearance.

• Bachelors degree in Information Systems Computer Science Engineering or related field with a minimum of 9 years of experience or aGraduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related lieu of a degree minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Compliance with DoD Cybersecurity Workforce certification requirements.
  Progressive experience in system administration network operations information security and engineering leadership.
• Experience leading teams supporting classified environments and DoD governed technical processes.
• Experience with secure network architecture design and defenseindepth implementations.
• Familiarity with accreditation packages security control assessments and Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) processes.
• Knowledge of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) HostBased Intrusion Detection System (HIDS) endpoint protection platforms and vulnerability management tools.
• Background administering multiple classified and customerfunded networks.
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP) certifications.
• Experience managing infrastructure during facility transitions or major system upgrades.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in California is $127500.00 - $236500.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
