Role Summary
As Manager-Imaging and Radiology you will lead clinical operations and a high-performing team within a modern Level III Medical Office Building. Working on-site alongside a Senior Manager you will oversee daily operations resource allocation and team development for a multidisciplinary department of 40 employees spanning multiple modalities (including CT MRI Nuclear Medicine Ultrasound Mammography X-ray Dexa and Fluoroscopy).
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Manage FTE/NPE budgets equipment maintenance supply ordering (OneLink) staffing backfills (Stafferlink) PTO approvals (TORT) and PACS/exam exception workflows.
- People Management: Direct mentor and evaluate 6075% of department staff in a UFCW unionized environment; oversee performance reviews hiring labor management and FMLA/IDM coordination.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal clinical departments (Ambulatory Pediatrics ACC Orthopedics Pain Clinic) to optimize workflows and resolve member concerns.
- Quality & Strategic Growth: Track volume trends and access reports to author business cases and capital expenditure proposals for leadership review.
- On-Call Availability: Participate in a 24/7 regional manager on-call rotation and support early morning shift check-ins as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience:
- 5 years of clinical experience as a Radiologic Technologist Sonographer Mammographer or Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- 3 years of managerial-level leadership in an imaging setting including direct authority over hiring performance reviews budget management and operational workflows (candidates with strong supervisory-level leadership in large departments may be considered).
- Proven experience managing large teams (30 headcount) across multiple modalities.
- Demonstrable experience navigating acute care or hospital-based radiology operations regulatory compliance and accreditation standards.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited diagnostic imaging program or a Bachelors degree or 4 years of directly related operational experience. High School Diploma/GED required.
- Licensure & Certification: Active Washington State or national certification (RT RDMS or NMTCB).
- Key Skills: Financial acumen change management and strong issue resolution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Nuclear Medicine experience strongly preferred.
- Experience leading teams in a unionized labor environment (UFCW).
- Masters degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite Six Sigma/process improvement methodologies and multi-modality registrations.
