Job Summary
Human Resources Manager (Multi-Unit)We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead human resources across multiple coal mining operations in Southern West Virginia specifically supporting our facilities in Beckley and Itmann this role you will serve as a strategic business partner reporting directly to the VP of Operations with a dotted-line reporting relationship to Corporate HR. You will be responsible for executing HR strategies managing employee relations and driving talent acquisition and in this role requires a hands-on HR partner who is highly visible in the field and equipped to manage the daily demands of a fast-paced safety-first mining Responsibilities:Operational Partnership: Serve as the primary HR partner to the VP of Operations and mine managers maintaining a regular physical presence at both the Beckley and Itmann complexes to support site leadership align workforce strategies and stay connected with operations personnel. Provide workforce metrics and updates to Corporate HR regarding turnover trends staffing shortages and employee Relations: Execute initiative-taking employee relations programs to maintain a positive productive and open-door work environment. Resolve complex employee grievances and conduct thorough investigations into policy violations discrimination claims or behavioral issues. Analyze employee feedback and exit interview data to identify and resolve underlying workplace morale Acquisition & Onboarding: Develop regional recruiting strategies to source skilled miners equipment operators engineers electricians and supervisors. Manage partnerships with local trade schools and community colleges to build a talent pipeline. Oversee the onboarding and orientation process to reduce early-stage turnover. Compliance & Safety Culture: Demonstrate support and promote Core Natural Resources core values of safety sustainability and continuous improvement. Ensure full compliance with federal and state employment laws HR policies benefit programs and compensation Management: Coach and train site leadership on performance management progressive discipline documentation and employee development. Minimum Qualifications & Education:Degree: Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related : 5 years of progressive HR & Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough understanding of federal and state employment laws alongside a functional awareness of MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) compliance and safety-critical : Excellent people skills with the ability to build trust with all employees including executive : Must hold a valid drivers license and be able to travel frequently between assigned mine sites. This role requires flexibility to support multiple shifts respond to urgent site needs and maintain a consistent field presence across operations.
