Manager Commercial Finance Irvine CA (Hybrid)
Our Client a global leader in medical technologies is seeking a Manager Commercial Finance to support one of its fastest-growing divisions.
Location: Irvine CA (Hybrid onsite 12 days/week; Thursdays required). Candidates based anywhere in the Los Angeles / Southern California area will be considered.
Compensation: $150K$165K base 17% target bonus (commensurate with experience)
About the Role
This role sits at the center of financial strategy for a fast-growing innovation-driven commercial division partnering directly with senior leaders to shape financial direction and accelerate growth. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives on turning data into insight building scalable financial models and influencing business outcomes. This person will own the divisions global revenue model and will work cross-functionally with international and domestic sales marketing and revenue planning teams offering broad visibility across the organization. Occasional calls outside standard business hours may be required to support global stakeholders.
What Youll Do
- Own commercial P&L components including revenue planning operating expense management and headcount forecasting
- Partner with senior commercial leaders to align financial plans with division goals and support strategic prioritization
- Lead development of annual budgets quarterly projections and long-term financial plans by coordinating cross-functional inputs
- Analyze business performance identify trends and deliver insights that improve profitability and guide decision-making
- Build and maintain complex financial models to evaluate scenarios investments and strategic initiatives
- Improve and optimize forecasting methodologies models and reporting processes
- Develop and deliver recurring and ad hoc reporting packages including key metrics trend analysis variance commentary and forward-looking insights
- Support month-end close activities in partnership with accounting teams ensuring compliance with financial policies and principles
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of FP&A experience at a mid-size or larger company (minimum 8 years total experience in finance accounting or a related business function)
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong financial modeling skills
- Strong business acumen and communication skills
- Advanced Excel proficiency and intermediate-to-advanced PowerPoint skills
- Solid understanding of financial statements general ledger concepts accruals and prepaid expenses
- Comfortable operating in a global role with occasional flexibility outside standard hours
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial finance experience
- Medical device or manufacturing industry experience
- Public company experience
