Manager, Accounting

We are looking for an exceptional Accounting Manager to build and lead the long-livedassets function property plant and equipment leases and intangibles. The Accountingteam owns the close technical accounting and reporting infrastructure behind one of thefastest-scaling companies in defense. This is a build seat more than a maintain seat: weare preparing for a future potential IPO expanding rapidly and integrating acquiredbusinesses so you will set the processes systems and controls this function runs on foryears.

• Long-Lived Asset Ownership: Own the accounting for Andurils long-lived assetsend to end property plant and equipment leases and intangibles includingthe fixed asset and lease subledgers depreciation and amortization additionstransfers disposals and monthly roll-forwards.
• Capitalization Policy: Serve as the primary liaison between the business andAndurils capitalization policy advising program engineering and operationsteams on capitalize-versus-expense treatment reviewing capital spend requests forpolicy compliance and keeping the policy current as the business scales.
• Team Leadership: Lead mentor and develop a team of accountants settingpriorities reviewing work and building bench strength as the asset base scales.
• Government Grants: Monitor and track government grants funding Andurils capitalprojects to ensure compliance accurate reporting and timely disbursement.
• Software Capitalization: Oversee and execute capitalization of software assets inalignment with applicable accounting standards (ASC 350).
• Financial Close: Own the monthly quarterly and annual close for long-lived assetaccounts delivering journal entries accruals and flux analysis on the closecalendar.
• Reporting & Disclosures: Own the fixed asset lease and intangible assetfootnotes disclosures and supporting schedules for financial reporting.
• Reconciliations: Review balance sheet reconciliations for long-lived assetaccounts on a timely basis and research and resolve variances as needed.
• Systems & Process Improvement: Help implement new systems or improveefficiencies with current systems to support continued company and team growth.
• SOX Readiness: Help build and maintain SOX-ready process documentation andkey controls over fixed assets leases and intangibles in support of public companyreadiness.
• Audit Support: Serve as the primary owner of external audit requests covering long-lived assets including PBC schedules walkthroughs and technical accountingmemos.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with FP&A Procurement Facilities andReal Estate and Tax on capital planning lease commitments asset tracking andbook-to-tax depreciation differences.
• Mindset: No job too small mentality be curious and helpful to others.

• Fixed Assets & CIP: Experience managing or overseeing fixed assets and CapitalImprovement Projects (CIP) is required.
• Education: Bachelors degree in accounting or related field.
• Experience: 6 years of progressive accounting experience including direct peoplemanagement experience.
• Technical Accounting: Working knowledge of the long-lived asset standards ASC360 (property plant and equipment; impairment) ASC 842 (leases) and ASC 350(intangibles and internal-use software).
• Systems & Rigor: Highly detail-oriented with strong experience in Excel ERPsystems and US GAAP.
• Prioritization: Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a high-growthorganization.
• Execution & Strategic Vision: Able to get your hands dirty to drive organizationalchange while also maintaining an ability to manage against strategic priorities andreporting.
• Eligibility: Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlledinformation or facilities.

• Education & Certifications: CPA (active or inactive) and/or MBA.
• Industry Background: Prior experience in companies in tech or advancedmanufacturing.
• Accounting Mix: Healthy mix of technical accounting and operational accounting.

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience education and/or training critical skills and/or business considerations.
