Compensation
Maintenance Operations Tech II- Starting Pay $38718 to $44534 per year depending on experience.
Maintenance Operations Tech I- Starting Pay $31204 to $35873 per year depending on experience.
What we are looking for
If you enjoy helping others you might be a fit at Armed Forces Insurance performing duties to maintain functional facilities equipment and grounds. Providing a variety of support functions associated with AFI infrastructure facilities maintenance print operations mail distribution and processing. Assisting in the support of AFI infrastructure and IT network to include desktop computer users Provides AFI employees with timely resolutions for hardware and software problems (willing to train on IT network).
Must Have Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED - MaintenanceOperations Tech I
  • Two years of experience as a maintenance operator operations tech mailroom/print operator role or equivalent position. - Maintenance Operations Tech II
Nice to Have Qualifications
  • Good written and verbal communications skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Outlook Excel and Word
  • Ability to perform basic math functions to include calculation of percentages and ratios
  • Demonstrates attention to detail
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to accomplish work according to established priorities and procedures
What professional education requirements do I need to obtain
  • Ability to maintain a valid unrestricted and REAL ID-compliant drivers license -Maintenance Operations Tech I
  • Successful completion of basic electrical course-Maintenance Operations Tech II

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • The work is moderately demanding. The employee will generally be walking standing bending lifting and carrying items weighing up to 70lbs. The employee will occasionally be seated to perform some work. The incumbent may drive a company vehicle on a regular basis.
  • The noise level of the work environment is moderate depending on the activity being performed. Low to moderate mechanical safety risks exists associated with operation of mail processing equipment. The work area is adequately lighted heated and ventilated.
  • The working hours will generally take place between 6:30 am and 6:30pm. Incumbent must be able to work a flexible schedule and overtime as required.
