Job Summary:
The Maintenance Electrician Tech will provide day-to-day leadership in the maintenance and repair of production equipment at Liberty Tire Recycling. This role is critical to ensuring the safe efficient and continuous operation of all machinery and equipment. A strong background in electrical systems is required along with hands-on mechanical expertise. The Maintenance Electrician Tech is also responsible for maintaining a clean organized and safe working environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and support maintenance activities across the production facility with a focus on electrical troubleshooting repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions electrical issues and mechanical failures; implement timely and effective repairs.
- Coordinate and prioritize maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and maximize equipment performance.
- Assist with installation modification and upgrade projects for production equipment and electrical systems.
- Train and mentor maintenance team members on safety procedures troubleshooting techniques and equipment best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all safety environmental and operational standards.
- Communicate regularly with Plant Management regarding maintenance needs schedules and progress updates.
- Assist with yard and facility upkeep ensuring a clean and safe environment.
- Be available to support production needs including operating equipment as necessary during maintenance activities.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong electrical background including troubleshooting wiring motor controls and panel work.
- Solid mechanical skills including hydraulics pneumatics and general production machinery maintenance.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments exposed to various weather conditions (rain heat cold).
- Ability to stand walk lift pull and push for prolonged periods.
- Ability to lead a maintenance team and work collaboratively across departments.
- Strong commitment to safety organization and housekeeping.
- Ability to drive company vehicles (route trucks) on short notice if needed.
- Professional demeanor with excellent communication skills.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance role with electrical focus.
