Job Duties:
This position is located at Alexander JDC located in Taylorsville NC
The Maintenance/Construction Tech III is responsible for performing routine preventive and corrective maintenance tasks and repairs ensuring that assigned systems within Juvenile Justice Facilities and support buildings are maintained in a safe and efficient manner. This position is required to perform at the Journeyman level in the Electrical trade and at the Journeyman level in at least one other trade preferably HVAC Plumbing or Carpentry. This position will be required to service and repair secondary electrical systems to include repairs to interior lighting building wiring conduit control wiring perimeter lighting and repairs to electrical equipment. The Maintenance/Construction Tech. III will repair commercial kitchen equipment and make minor repairs to buildings both interior and exterior and may make repairs to HVAC equipment and plumbing systems. This position will be expected to supervise the work of skilled semi-skilled and/or unskilled labor to assist in completing assigned tasks and provide support to other staff members performing trade skills during preventive maintenance.
Must have a valid drivers license upon hire.

Journeyman level experience in the electrical trade
Journeyman level experience in another trade such as HVAC Plumbing or Carpentry.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position. 8:00am-5:00pm. This position is considered essential and is expected to be at work despite weather conditions and is subject to on-call status.

Minimum Education and Experience
