Position Summary:
The Maintenance Worker provides seasonal support for cemetery grounds maintenance and general upkeep. Responsibilities include location cleanup trash removal grave preparation landscaping tasks and assisting with memorial installation preparation to help maintain a clean and respectful environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general grounds and location cleanup throughout cemetery property
- Empty trash receptacles and maintain cleanliness of all assigned areas
- Apply topsoil to gravesites and spread grass seed as needed
- Assist with painting and basic maintenance projects
- Use shovels rakes and other general hand tools safely and effectively
- Prepare graves and surrounding areas for memorial installations
- Support overall cemetery appearance and upkeep to maintain a respectful environment
- Complete additional outdoor maintenance tasks as assigned by management
