Wonderlic Assessment:
In the early stages of our hiring process after an application is submitted a pre-employment assessment called Wonderlic is sent to all qualified candidates. This 45-minute assessment is a required step in our selection process to help us better understand fit for the position by defining strengths motivational fit and work style. The Service Technician is responsible for keeping the appearance and operations of the property in excellent condition both inside and out. Daily responsibilities include making ready units for new move-ins performing work orders (electrical plumbing HVAC etc.) appliance repairs unit inspections updating logs as needed and exterior maintenance. This role will respond to after-hours emergencies (on-call) as well.
What Youll Do
- Prepare units for move-ins with electrical plumbing carpentry masonry and painting repairs.
- Aware of the condition of the property at all times and take immediate steps to correct unsafe conditions including reporting any safety concerns to the Service Manager and or Community Manager immediately.
- Complete work orders within 24 hours as directed by the Community Manager and/or Service Manager and report any emergency work orders in a timely manner.
- Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance and on-call responsibilities.
- Complete grounds pick up sweeping and light landscaping such as mulch and sprinkler head replacements when possible.
What You Need to Succeed
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 1 years of relevant experience required.
- EPA Type II or Universal Certification preferred
- CAMT certification preferred but not required
- CPO certification preferred for properties where applicable based on local regulations and property-specific operational requirements.
- Written verbal and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of facilities management and mechanical equipment.
- Pass criminal background screening prior to employment.
- Possession of a valid drivers license and up-to-date vehicle insurance is required.
- If minimum qualifications are met during resume screening the Wonderlic pre-employment assessment is required. The assessment will arrive in the email inbox that you provided.
