Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the hotel is maintained in excellent condition delivering a safe comfortable and visually appealing environment for both guests and team members. This role plays a critical part in the overall guest experience by proactively maintaining guest rooms public spaces and back-of-house areas while responding quickly and effectively to maintenance requests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms including HVAC systems plumbing electrical fixtures appliances furniture and finishes
  • Maintain all public areas including the lobby restaurant rooftop spaces fitness center and exterior grounds ensuring they meet brand and cleanliness standards
  • Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests with a high level of professionalism and urgency
  • Conduct preventative maintenance programs to extend the life of equipment and reduce unexpected breakdowns
  • Troubleshoot and repair building systems including heating cooling electrical and plumbing systems
  • Assist with ongoing property improvement projects renovations and seasonal preparations
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards local codes and company policies
  • Maintain organized records of maintenance activities work orders and equipment inspections
  • Monitor the condition of the property and proactively identify areas needing attention or repair
  • Work collaboratively with housekeeping and front desk teams to prioritize room readiness and minimize out-of-order rooms

Qualifications:

  • Previous maintenance experience in a hotel commercial property or similar environment preferred
  • Working knowledge of HVAC plumbing electrical and general building systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Basic computer skills for work order systems and communication
  • Ability to lift carry and move equipment and supplies as needed
