Scotia Village is seeking a Maintenance Technician to be part of our team. Required skills and qualifications:
- Five or more years of facilities maintenance experience
- Knowledge of electrical plumbing carpentry and HVAC systems
- A friendly patient attitude when dealing directly with residents in their homes
- High school diploma or GED
- HVAC or EPA certification is a big plus
Core responsibilities:
- Repair work: fix plumbing leaks repair electrical switches and service broken appliances.
- Work orders: daily track and complete resident requests using digital property management software
- Preventive maintenance: inspect building systems daily to catch small issues before they turn into expensive emergencies.
- Emergency response: answer urgent calls for urgent issues
- Unit turnovers: prep vacant units for new residents by making sure units are move-in ready..
