Maintenance Technician

****Payrate $30-$35/hr Scheduled hours 6:30am - 3:30pm Monday thru Friday ****

SUMMARY OF ROLE

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting repair preventative maintenance and overhaul work on all shop equipment. Position will read and interpret electronic schematics and identify components to manage projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must be highly mechanically inclined and have a strong ability to use basic hand tools
• Perform insert changeovers for production
• Perform preventive maintenance as per instruction and assigned intervals
• Inspect equipment for defects and plan for solutions to prevent downtime
• General housekeeping around the shop and maintain safe work environment
• Maintain cleanliness safety and functionality of components tools and equipment
• Maintain electronic/electromechanical equipment to ensure it is in optimal running condition
• Work independent with strong technical knowledge leading team for proactive planning and maintenance
• Effective communication skills both verbally and written
• Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures
• Other responsibilities as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalency required
• Technical degree or certificate a plus
• Strong knowledge of plastic processing and troubleshooting
• Basic math skills. Basic electrical skills Basic computer skills
• Read use and interpret measuring devices gauges and inspection tools
• Possess good hand-eye coordination with manual dexterity
• Forklift training (can be completed on the job)

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment is usually in an indoor concrete floored precision machining shop. General noise level can fluctuate from medium to high on a constant basis.
