Reporting to the Plant Maintenance Manager the Maintenance Technician is responsible for the design planning construction safety and maintenance of building infrastructure or manufacturing/production equipment and systems. May be responsible for the repair maintenance installation and enhancement of machinery and mechanical equipment. Mechanical responsibilities may apply to equipment machinery electrical plumbing and / or HVAC. May manage coordination and modification of building space - space design standards allocation modifications moves and expansion. May conduct facility inspections and/or equipment condition assessments to determine necessary modifications including repair work and replacements / capital improvements. Responsibilities include predictive preventive and proactive maintenance analysis as well as designing and implementing long-term continuous improvement applications and systems to enhance facility and/or production reliability and infrastructure specific elements of quality system compliance. Documents and reports issues to provide and safe and reliable environment.

This position is part of the ChemTreat - Facilities/Production Equipment - TX Maintenance located in Nederland TX and will be onsite.


In this role a typical day will look like:

• Day to day facilities maintenance and repair of machinery that keeps the plant operating

• Tote maintenance when required.

• Heavy lifting and respirator clearance required.

• Assist in specialized projects as assigned by Maintenance Manager.

• Capable of assisting Maintenance Manager with prioritizing shift workload and completing assigned tasks

• Coordinates with other departments and operational sites as needed to fulfill maintenance objectives

• Assists when vendors and contractors are onsite services

• Capable of ordering and obtaining quotes for materials

• Follows appropriate EHS procedures and policy

• Maintains communication with internal departments and maintenance supervision to ensure compliance with policies and procedures

• Performs all non-supervisory duties for all positions within the department as necessary

• Other duties as assigned

The essential requirements of the job include:

• High school diploma. Trade licensing a plus

• Experience in plumbing painting carpentry basic electrical principles construction forklift operation and computer data entry a plus.

• Working knowledge of basic mathematics and common tools needed.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Routinely required to walk stand sit step up or climb (includes stairs and industrial vehicles) balance stoop bend kneel squat/crouch turn/twist crawl talk hear and smell

• Ability to use hands and fingers to reach grip hold feel or operate objects/equipment computer keyboards and tablets

• Routinely required to lift carry push or pull up to 55 pounds without assistance

• Physical environment requires work both inside in heat/cold and outside in heat/cold wet/humid and dry/arid conditions

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus

• This role is a safety-sensitive position must be able to wear all necessary PPE equipment to perform essential functions and/or job responsibilities
