Responsibilities
- Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on heavy equipment including machinery and systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues assess equipment condition and implement preventive measures.
- Lead and mentor a team of junior technicians providing training on safe and efficient maintenance practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other maintenance teams and hotel departments to ensure a coordinated approach to facility upkeep and guest satisfaction.
- Document all maintenance activities equipment issues and repairs accurately maintaining detailed records for future reference and analysis.
- Stay updated with industry advancements and best practices attending relevant training and workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and regulations promoting a safe work environment for yourself colleagues and guests.
- Communicate effectively with hotel management providing timely updates on maintenance activities and addressing any concerns or queries promptly.
- Assist in developing and implementing innovative maintenance strategies to optimize equipment lifespan minimize downtime and reduce operational costs.
- Ensure compliance with health safety and environmental regulations including proper waste management and disposal practices.
Qualifications
- CPO certification is preferred or extensive experience in heavy equipment maintenance with a proven track record of success.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar maintenance leadership role demonstrating strong technical skills and a deep understanding of heavy machinery operations.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive and analytical approach to identifying and resolving complex equipment issues.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to guide and inspire a team of technicians fostering a positive and safe work environment.
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written to collaborate with diverse teams and provide clear instructions and updates.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in various environments including confined spaces and outdoor conditions with the stamina to perform physical tasks.
- A safety-conscious mindset with a commitment to promoting and maintaining a safe work culture and a willingness to lead by example.
- A continuous learning attitude staying updated with industry trends and technologies and adapting to new maintenance practices and equipment.
- Valid drivers license and a clean driving record with the ability to travel for off-site equipment maintenance tasks as required.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
