Job Summary
Under direction from the Maintenance Team Lead performs plumbing electrical mechanical carpentry locksmithing painting glazing and other repair construction or maintenance on school buildings or grounds; and related work as classification of Maintenance Technician III requires journey-level skills in one or more of the craft areas as listed in the Definition section above. A Maintenance Technician III may be required to perform duties independently or within a team consisting of Maintenance Technicians II in any combination of the above trades and to perform any related maintenance work as directed.

Verifiable understanding of workplace safetyrequirements related to each of the trade skill areas listed in the Definitions section of thisjob descriptionOr* Four (4) years of verifiable work directing maintenance in a multi-facility understanding of workplace safety requirements related to each of the tradesskill areas listed in the Definitions section of this job descriptionOr* Four (4) years of experience as SCESD Maintenance Technician II and twelve (12) unitsof college-level courses in any of the trade skill areas listed in the Definitions sectionof this job descriptionOr* Six (6) years of experience as a Maintenance Technician II in the Salinas City ElementarySchool District a written recommendation from a supervisor following two consecutivepositive evaluations and 6 units of required college-level courses.
