Boston Higashi School is looking for a dependable Maintenance Worker to join our facilities team.

If you are handy comfortable using tools enjoy fixing things and take pride in keeping buildings and grounds safe and well maintained we would like to hear from you.

You do not need to be licensed in a trade. We welcome applicants with experience in maintenance construction custodial work painting landscaping apartment or property maintenance or other hands-on work.

• Complete general building repairs and maintenance
• Assist with painting basic carpentry minor plumbing repairs and other projects
• Respond to maintenance requests throughout the school
• Help maintain school buildings equipment and grounds
• Move furniture equipment and supplies when needed
• Assist with deliveries and maintaining maintenance supplies
• Help with snow removal and seasonal grounds work
• Perform some custodial work as needed
• Work with other members of the maintenance team on larger projects

• Dependable and able to report to work consistently and on time
• Comfortable using basic hand and power tools
• Some maintenance construction custodial landscaping repair or similar experience preferred
• Willingness to learn
• Valid Massachusetts drivers license
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to perform physically active work including lifting up to 50 pounds
• Professional and respectful when working around students and employees
