The Maintenance 8 (Multi-Craft Maintenance) position exists to ensure continuous safe and efficient operation of production equipment CNC machinery facilities and support systems. This role provides advanced multi-craft technical expertise across mechanical electrical hydraulic pneumatic CNC and facility systems while also developing modifying and troubleshooting CNC programs used in manufacturing addition this position serves as a critical technical link between Engineering and Manufacturing translating engineering designs drawings and intent into functional reliable and production-ready machine programs and processes.
Essential Job Functions & Expected Outcomes: Your Accountabilities in the Role
Essential Job Functions
Diagnose maintain and repair complex production equipment and facility systems across mechanical electrical (12480V) hydraulic pneumatic and CNC platforms.
Write modify and troubleshoot CNC programs to support manufacturing operations and equipment reliability.
Serve as a technical interface between Engineering and Manufacturing translating designs and specifications into production-ready machine programs and processes.
Execute and optimize preventative maintenance strategies to ensure equipment reliability and asset longevity.
Lead response to critical equipment failures determining safe cost-effective corrective actions with minimal supervision.
Install relocate and commission production equipment and support systems.
Coordinate maintenance materials spare parts vendors and contractors to support timely and effective repairs.
Maintain accurate maintenance safety and compliance documentation while supporting on-call and emergency response requirements.
Expected Outcomes
Production equipment and facilities operate safely reliably and within required performance standards.
Unplanned downtime is minimized through effective troubleshooting CNC program reliability and preventative maintenance execution.
Engineering designs are consistently converted into manufacturable production-ready machine programs and processes.
Equipment failures are resolved quickly with solutions that balance safety cost and long-term reliability.
Preventative maintenance activities are completed on schedule and adapted based on equipment condition and performance trends.
CNC-related issues do not impede production quality throughput or startup timelines.

Maintenance activities meet safety environmental and regulatory requirements with complete and accurate documentation.
The Maintenance Level 8 (Multi-Craft Maintenance) role provides advanced autonomous technical support for production equipment CNC systems and facilities. This position resolves complex cross-discipline maintenance issues develops and troubleshoots CNC programs and serves as a key technical link between Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure reliable production-ready processes equipment uptime and operational continuity.
Hydraulic and pneumatic diagnostic tools (pressure gauges)
Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety devices
Physical Requirements to Perform Essential Functions:
Ability to stand walk bend kneel squat and climb for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly with heavier loads using assistance or mechanical aids
Ability to work at heights using ladders lifts or platforms
Ability to work in confined or restricted spaces as required
Ability to perform tasks in awkward or non-standard positions including overhead and below-waist work
Ability to use hands and arms for precise manipulation of tools controls and components
Ability to tolerate exposure to industrial environments (noise heat cold dust fumes grease oils)
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Environmental Conditions & Travel:
Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing and industrial facility environment
Regular exposure to moving machinery electrical systems and energized equipment
Exposure to noise vibration dust fumes grease oils and industrial chemicals
Work in both indoor and outdoor conditions including heat cold and varying weather
Occasional work at heights on roofs and in confined or restricted spaces
Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) including eye protection hearing protection arc-flash gear and fall protection
Minimal travel required
Occasional local travel to support building and grounds maintenance equipment installation training or vendor coordination
No overnight travel typically required but sometimes necessary
