Our Maintenance Technician plays an important role in keeping our manufacturing facility operating safely efficiently and this hands-on role youll perform preventive and corrective maintenance troubleshoot equipment issues and complete routine repairs across production equipment facility systems and utilities.
Working under general supervision youll independently handle routine maintenance and standard equipment issues while partnering with senior maintenance team members on more complex or higher-risk repairs. This role is a great fit for someone with a solid maintenance foundation who enjoys solving mechanical problems working across different systems and continuing to build their technical expertise.
- Perform preventive predictive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment building systems and facility infrastructure.
- Inspect troubleshoot maintain and repair mechanical electrical plumbing pneumatic and hydraulic systems independently resolving routine issues and escalating more complex or higher-risk problems as appropriate.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance including inspections lubrication cleaning adjustments and replacement of routine wear components to support equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Perform routine maintenance and monitoring of refrigeration and ammonia-based freezer systems within applicable training and authorization requirements.
- Install assemble disassemble move adjust and test equipment machinery fixtures and facility improvements; assist senior maintenance team members with more complex work.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals technical drawings blueprints schematics and maintenance documentation to support troubleshooting and repairs.
- Complete work orders and accurately document maintenance activities repairs parts used equipment conditions and follow-up needs.
- Identify equipment concerns recurring issues and potential safety hazards; take appropriate action within established procedures and escalate issues requiring additional expertise or authorization.
- Maintain tools equipment maintenance areas and spare parts in a clean organized and safe condition.
- Follow all company safety policies OSHA requirements Lockout/Tagout procedures Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) food safety requirements and PPE standards.
- Collaborate with Production Warehouse and Quality and Food Safety teams to respond to equipment needs and support safe efficient operations with minimal downtime.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying and assisting with opportunities to improve equipment reliability safety and operational efficiency.
- Participate in technical training and continuous learning to expand maintenance knowledge and capabilities.
- Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned in support of facility operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3 years of relevant experience in industrial maintenance manufacturing facilities maintenance mechanical repair HVAC automotive repair construction or another related skilled trade; relevant vocational trade school or technical training may substitute for a portion of the experience.
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems maintenance practices and common hand and power tools.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance routine troubleshooting adjustments and repairs.
- Familiarity with mechanical electrical pneumatic hydraulic plumbing or related systems.
- Ability and willingness to work periodically in refrigerated and freezer areas while performing maintenance inspections and repairs.
- Ability to independently resolve routine maintenance issues using established procedures and recognize when escalation is needed.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals technical documentation schematics and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail problem-solving skills and commitment to safe work practices.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to take direction ask questions when needed and work effectively with maintenance leads and other team members.

- Vocational trade school or technical training in industrial maintenance electrical HVAC refrigeration mechanical systems or a related field.
- Experience working in a food manufacturing or regulated production environment.
- Experience operating a forklift
- Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) or electronic work-order system.
- Experience with refrigeration or ammonia-based systems.

This role takes place in a manufacturing/warehouse environment and may involve exposure to varying temperatures noise and airborne particles. Employees must follow all safety guidelines and use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
The position requires regular standing walking bending reaching and the ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds. Work may involve operating or working near machinery and other equipment.
