Position Description
NeighborWorks Boise (NWB) is a local affordable housing nonprofit thathelps Idahoans obtain maintain and retain housing. We are seeking a motivatedand mission-driven Maintenance Technician to help maintain safe clean andwelcoming properties for our residents at our multifamily housing properties. This is a hands-on rolefocused on delivering high-quality repairs unit turns and preventativemaintenance to ensure safe and comfortable living environments for ourresidents.
Primary Dutiesand Responsibilities:
This role is responsible for completing timely and quality maintenanceservices across assigned properties. This includes responding to work ordersperforming unit turns conducting repairs and supporting preventativemaintenance efforts. The role is responsible for both technical and generalmaintenance tasks to ensure properties remain safe compliant andwell-maintained.
What Youll Do
Property Maintenance Repairs and Coordination
- Perform general maintenance includingplumbing electrical carpentry painting and cleaning
- Repair and troubleshoot appliancessystems and structural issues
- Respond to routine maintenance requestsand emergency repair needs
- Manage heating plumbing and otherbuilding systems to ensure functionality
- Conduct unit turns efficiently ensuringunits are move-in ready
- Utilize property management software(AppFolio) to complete work orders and documentation
- Coordinate with vendors for work outsideof technician scope
- Communicate daily with On-Site Managerand/or Maintenance Assistant Manager regarding property status
Inspections Compliance and Preventative Maintenance
- Conduct regular property inspections andidentify safety hazards or needed repairs
- Perform scheduled preventativemaintenance tasks
- Follow up on repairs to ensurecompletion and compliance with safety standards
- Assist in semi-annual and periodic unitinspections with On-Site Manager
- Maintain inventory supplies andmaintenance records
- Identify and report property riskshazards or liabilities promptly
- Maintain accurate maintenance recordsinventory and documentation
- Ensure compliance with OSHA ADA andFair Housing standards

What WereLooking For
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience in maintenanceconstruction plumbing electrical or general handyman work required
- Ability to safely use maintenance toolsequipment and materials
- Strong organization time managementand problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standardsADA and Fair Housing regulations (or willingness to learn)
- Ability to work independently and managemultiple priorities and work as part of a team
- Comfortable using tablets smartphonesand software (AppFolio Google Suite)
- Commitment to safety quality work andexcellent service
Job Type:Full-time
Compensation: Starting at $19-$20.00/ per hour or DOE
