Job Summary

Austin Industrial Inc. is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for Phoenix AZ for the PM shift.

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing mechanical services to support the needs of production and ensure safe operation of the plant. Experiences and knowledge with maintaining industrial equipment (reactor blending vessel dryer heat exchanger vacuum pump) packaging equipment (blister bottle box label pouch sealer wrap box) and/or automated equipment (robotic HMI PLC) are desirable. The Industrial Maintenance Technician is also responsible for conducting Preventative Maintenance work including the review and evaluation of its cost-effectiveness and addition the Industrial Maintenance Technician will be working closely with the Engineering to implement continuous improvement initiatives and install new equipment.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Processing and/or packaging plant maintenance
  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of production plan maintenance including hydraulics pneumatics utilities (chiller compressed air hot water hot oil and LNC) pumps reactors rotary equipment pressure vessels etc.
  • Maintain and repair mechanical equipment systems and processes to meet requirements applying knowledge of mechanical principles.
  • Preventative maintenance and routine maintenance of equipment and facility systems.
  • Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
  • Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and to make recommendations.
  • Confer with management and other personnel to implement operating procedures and resolve system malfunctions.
  • Plan and install of machinery and parts in line with design plans and timescales.
  • Performs minor electrical maintenance including but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures industrial and electrical control equipment and components

Qualifications Required for this Position:

Education no minimum education requirements.

Experience 3-5 years of Mechanical Maintenance experience.

Must be able to pass drug screen and background check.

No Per Diem and no relocation funding.

Qualifications Required for this Position:

Education: no minimum education requirements.

Certification/License: NCCER Boilermaker certification a Valid Drivers License and TWIC Card

Experience: 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.
