Job Summary

Position Summary

MalaceHR is seeking an experienced Facilities Mechanic to support the daily operation maintenance and reliability of facility systems at a commercial/industrial site in Alburtis PA.

This position is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical electrical plumbing and supporting facility infrastructure. The Facilities Mechanic will play an important role in maintaining equipment uptime responding to facility issues coordinating outside vendors and ensuring building systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems.

  • Troubleshoot repair and maintain facility equipment and building systems.

  • Inspect and maintain drainage systems clear blockages and repair restroom fixtures as needed.

  • Monitor and maintain compressed air systems respond to alarms or equipment failures and coordinate scheduled preventative maintenance.

  • Maintain and support dock and loading equipment troubleshoot malfunctions and coordinate vendor repairs when necessary.

  • Review equipment logs and CMMS work orders to identify equipment issues and ensure proper documentation.

  • Complete daily weekly monthly quarterly and annual preventative maintenance tasks.

  • Respond to corrective and emergency maintenance work orders in a timely manner.

  • Diagnose equipment and system failures identify root causes and perform appropriate repairs.

  • Coordinate equipment shutdowns and scheduled downtime with site personnel to minimize disruption to operations.

  • Work with third-party vendors and contractors performing repairs inspections or specialized maintenance.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities inspections repairs and equipment conditions.

  • Follow all site safety procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Provide professional customer-focused support to site employees and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma GED or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years of facilities maintenance or facilities technician experience.

  • Experience performing preventative and corrective maintenance on commercial or industrial facility systems.

  • Working knowledge of mechanical electrical and plumbing systems.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose equipment malfunctions and complete repairs.

  • Experience using hand tools power tools and equipment commonly used in facility maintenance.

  • Basic computer and smartphone proficiency.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.

  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to respond to emergency service needs and participate in an on-call rotation if required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Corrigo or another computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

  • Experience with compressed air systems.

  • Experience maintaining dock and loading equipment.

  • Previous experience in a commercial industrial manufacturing or distribution facility.

  • Experience coordinating third-party contractors and service vendors.

  • Basic electrical mechanical or plumbing trade training or certifications.

  • Experience reviewing facility equipment logs inspection records and compliance documentation.
