Job Summary
The job of Maintenance Specialist is done for the purpose/s of supporting the educational process with specific responsibility for performing journeyman skilled maintenance activities (e.g. carpentry plumbing electrical painting masonry locksmithing etc.); ensuring completion of assigned work order projects are to code; training and guiding other maintenance workers; and ensuring that tools and materials are available at job district-wide eligibility list is valid for one year and will be used to fill full-time and substitute positions in this encouraged to apply!

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience and specialized training in at least one of the building trades areas such as woodworking metal trades electrical mechanical maintenance or plumbing. Relevant experience education certificates and/or licenses may be substituted. Requires a valid drivers license and evidence of PROCESS: The selection process will include screening to ensure application and supplemental questionnaire are complete and applicant meets minimum qualifications. The process will include a written examination for all qualified applicants. Those candidates achieving a passing score of 70% or higher on the written exam will be invited to the oral examination. Passing score is 70% on each exam. An eligibility list will be established and the top three ranks of candidates from the list will receive a departmental interview. Additional interviews will be conducted in rank order as vacancies occur. All examinations are based on the job description for the position.
