We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support manufacturing operations by performing preventive predictive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems. This role is responsible for troubleshooting repairing and maintaining mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic equipment to maximize equipment reliability minimize downtime and support safe efficient manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on industrial maintenance professional with strong troubleshooting skills and experience maintaining manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring equipment operates safely efficiently and reliably while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform preventive predictive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical electrical hydraulic pneumatic and electromechanical equipment.
- Diagnose equipment failures and implement timely repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Perform routine inspections equipment adjustments lubrication and component replacement to maintain optimal equipment performance.
- Repair and maintain conveyors presses machining centers bearings motors gearboxes pumps compressors and other industrial production equipment.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals mechanical drawings electrical schematics hydraulic diagrams and pneumatic diagrams.
- Perform equipment installations modifications upgrades and machinery relocation projects as needed.
- Assist with root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Collaborate with Production Engineering and Quality teams to resolve equipment issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records work orders preventive maintenance schedules and spare parts inventory.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and company safety policies.
- Maintain a clean organized and safe maintenance work environment.
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls and equipment breakdowns as required.
- High school diploma or GED required. Technical school vocational training or industrial maintenance certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial production equipment machine tools presses conveyors pumps motors and gearboxes.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings electrical schematics hydraulic diagrams and technical manuals.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Strong troubleshooting analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic welding fabrication and machining experience is a plus.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments and common maintenance tools.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience supporting metal stamping machining bearing manufacturing or other precision manufacturing operations.
- Knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems.
- Experience troubleshooting variable frequency drives (VFDs) servo motors sensors and industrial controls.
- Welding certification or fabrication experience.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
