• Responsible for performing efficient operation maintenance and repair of all building systems.
• Building systems include HVAC water treatment electrical lighting plumbing energy management fire protection structural hardware.
• Develops skills in installing fabrication constructing troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Receives work assignments plans work to be performed and obtains necessary tools equipment and materials.
• Completes paperwork in a timely manner. Demonstrates knowledge of equipment and employs service procedures and techniques.
• Possesses knowledge of safe and efficient operation of all equipment power and hand tools.
• Responsible for the care of assigned equipment and tools. Responsible for keeping shop equipment rooms related mechanical areas and common areas clean organized and safe.
• Inspects all areas of the building(s) and reports deficiencies as well as suggestions for improvement
• Project a positive appearance and attitude always. Demonstrate exemplary tenant relations team spirit and respect of others.
• Serve on various shifts and to occasionally work extended hours nights weekends and holidays to ensure adequate building coverage and perform necessary repairs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma and 4 years of building maintenance experience.
• Employee is responsible for complying with all life safety and OSHA requirements.
• Must have a CFC Universal.
• Must be able to acquire a GSA Public Trust Clearance (HSPD-12)

Physical Demands:

The work requires the ability to lift and carry minimum of 50 lbs. to heavy items; to walk climb stairs and able to work on ladders over 12 feet in length bend and crouch and to reach and pull to work on equipment; and to use hands arms and legs in using the tools and materials of the trade.
