Volt is hiring for a Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor for a leading manufacturing facility in Hayward CA.
As a Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor you will:
- Lead supervise and mentor maintenance technicians in daily repair troubleshooting and preventive maintenance activities
- Coordinate and prioritize maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and maximize production efficiency
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical electrical hydraulic pneumatic and automated equipment
- Oversee the maintenance repair and rebuilding of pumps motors conveyors gearboxes and other industrial equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot PLCs motor controls VFDs (drives) and electrical systems
- Inspect test and evaluate machinery to identify equipment failures and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely efficiently and in compliance with company standards
- Review blueprints schematics electrical diagrams and maintenance manuals to support repairs and installations
- Manage maintenance work orders inventory parts procurement and maintenance documentation
- Support facility improvement projects equipment upgrades and new equipment installations
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies OSHA regulations and preventive maintenance programs
- Train coach and develop maintenance personnel on equipment operation troubleshooting and safety procedures
- Collaborate with production and management teams to improve equipment reliability and overall plant performance
Schedule: M-F 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM
This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous supervisory or lead experience in industrial maintenance manufacturing or production environments
- Strong experience troubleshooting mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Hands-on experience with PLC troubleshooting VFDs (drives) motor controls and industrial automation equipment
- Experience rebuilding pumps motors gearboxes and other rotating equipment
- Ability to read blueprints schematics wiring diagrams and technical manuals
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Strong leadership communication organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing maintenance schedules work orders and technician workloads
- Experience using hand tools power tools welding equipment and maintenance machinery
- Welding fabrication HVAC or plumbing experience is a plus
- Commitment to workplace safety continuous improvement and equipment reliability
Pay Rate: $30-$40 per hour DOE
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidates education work experience work location specific job duties certifications etc.
