Maintenance Mechanic

• The Pilot Plant Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the installation maintenance troubleshooting repair and continuous improvement of pilot plant processing and packaging equipment.
• This position supports product development scale-up activities and manufacturing operations by ensuring equipment reliability safety and compliance with food industry standards.
• The mechanic performs both preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of food processing systems and utility equipment while minimizing downtime and maintaining operational efficiency.

• Retorts
• Aseptic sterilizers
• Homogenizers
• High-shear mixers
• Processing vessels and tanks
• Heat exchangers
• Pumps and piping systems
• Conveyors
• Filling and packaging systems
• Support equipment startups changeovers and commissioning activities.

• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting
• Preventive and predictive maintenance
• Problem solving and root cause analysis
• Safety awareness and regulatory compliance

• Adaptability in a dynamic pilot plant environment

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand walk climb ladders work in confined spaces and perform maintenance tasks in industrial environments.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
