Maintenance Mechanic

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains the safe operation and maintenance of building facilities and has a proven competency in one of the following areas; electrical/wiring mechanical/HVAC systems plumbing/pipefitting or Plant Operations/Stationary Engineer.
• Repairs and adjusts doors windows closures panic devices and locks.
• Patches holes installs escutcheons repairs ceiling and floor tile as needed to maintain building appearance.
• Makes minor masonry and wood repairs.
• Installs pictures coat hooks other wall hung furnishings and equipment as requested.
• Performs preventive maintenance activities responds to customer complaints and repairs equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in building maintenance. Working knowledge in their area of competency of HVAC plumbing electrical Plant operations structural or general carpentry.
• May require a valid Georgia drivers license and insurable driving record. Some positions within this classification may require the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend stoop and twist.
