Job Summary

Full-Time Maintenance Position
District-Wide
Full-Time: 8 Hours Per Day


Education:
High School diploma or equivalent;

Bilingual preferred.

Duties/Skills/Qualifications:
Previous experience in building maintenance grounds or custodial services is helpful;
Performs general maintenance work and repairs inside and outside the buildings such as electrical plumbing carpentry ceiling roof tile etc.;

Maintains all safety and code requirements of the state local and Board guidelines;

Maintains building doors and door hardware;

Maintains building lockers and restroom partitions;
Hold and maintain a valid drivers license - - may also include snow plowing of district facilities;
Knowledge of basic preventative maintenance and repairs related to simple machinery and cleaning equipment;
Ability to remain focused and possess good problem solving skills;
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds;

Examines district-owned facilities on a regular basis for purposes of preventative maintenance relative to position;

Strong ability to multi-task and detailed oriented;
Good attendance and punctuality;
Must be able to work in all environments; hot cold rain snow;
Ability to work as a team member with a high level of communication skills;
Ability to relate and work effectively with parents staff students and the public in a multicultural and multiracial community;
Knowledge and awareness of own cultural identity and how this influences behavior and desire to learn about the cultural identity of others;
Ability to establish and nurture an environment that promotes cultural competence and equitable treatment of staff students and patrons of the District;
Ability to recognize that each person is a unique individual even as we celebrate their group cultural heritage;
