Maintenance Generalist MG05U, 2nd Shift Forest, MS

Job Details:

The Maintenance Generalist is responsible for troubleshooting repairing and maintaining production equipment machinery and facility systems to support efficient plant operations. This position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime ensuring food safety maintaining equipment reliability and promoting a safe work environment while adhering to Tyson Foods policies and procedures. Responsibilities are based on existing Tyson maintenance job descriptions and Forest facility references.

Essential Functions

• Maintain and promote Tysons safety culture.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical electrical hydraulic pneumatic and plumbing systems.
• Repair and replace motors pumps bearings shafts conveyors augers couplings steam and water lines.
• Perform welding cutting fabrication and minor electrical repairs.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals drawings and schematics.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with equipment installations upgrades and modifications.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete required documentation.
• Operate hand tools power tools lifts forklifts and other maintenance equipment as trained and certified.
• Support emergency repairs and respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize production interruptions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by maintenance leadership.

*Must have 1 year maintenance experience within the immediate past 2 years.

Rehiring Criteria: Applicant must not have worked for Tyson more than a total of 3 times prior. Applicants must also have completed at least 180 days since their last employment with Tyson.
