Job Summary
Description
The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of facility and equipment cleaning maintenance support and housekeeping duties including:
- Cleaning and wiping down oven wickets and conveyor chains.
- Cleaning preparing and painting the interior and exterior surfaces of ovens.
- Performing general cleaning and housekeeping activities throughout the machine shop.
- Cleaning and preparing machinery and equipment for overhaul and repair work.
- Completing a variety of entry-level maintenance tasks and other assignments as directed by the supervisor.
- Maintaining a clean safe and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and write effectively.
- Basic math skills including the ability to add and subtract whole numbers.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely in an industrial environment.
