Job Summary
Position: Maintenance & Facilities (2 open positions)
Status: Full time (40 hours per week)
Classification: Non-exempt
Reports to: Facilities Supervisor
Range: $35000 $45000
The Facilities and Maintenance position is responsible for performing maintenance repair custodial and event support services across the Parish campus. This role includes plumbing electrical and mechanical work within the scope of ability event setup and teardown and general campus upkeep.
The position requires flexibility strong attention to detail and a service-oriented mindset when working with parish staff parishioners students parents and campus guests. The goal is to maintain a safe clean welcoming and well-functioning environment for both parish and school communities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintenance Specialist Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance duties as assigned.
Complete plumbing electrical and mechanical repairs and installations within scope of ability.
Assess maintenance project requirements and recommend appropriate courses of action.
Identify material needs and coordinate vendor services when necessary.
Event Specialist Responsibilities
Set up and tear down rooms and spaces for meetings community gatherings sporting events and special events.
Assess event space needs and ensure fixtures and equipment are in proper working order.
Provide on-site support during events including custodial services and troubleshooting unforeseen issues.
Utilize calendars and scheduling programs to plan and execute event setups with minimal supervision.
Custodial Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize restrooms.
Clean mop wash buff and vacuum floors according to schedule or as needed.
Organize and maintain interior spaces.
Empty trash and transport recycling to appropriate receptacles.
Maintain exterior walkways including:
o Sweeping debris
o Washing Walkways
o Shoveling snow
o Treating icy areas Work must align with school and church schedules to ensure safe access.
Maintain landscaping as instructed.
Clean and polish fixtures throughout all buildings.
Replace light bulbs as needed.
Clean windows fountains and glass doors.
Complete miscellaneous maintenance projects as assigned.
Report supply needs and unsafe conditions to the Facilities Supervisor.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications and Skills
High School diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
Previous custodial and/or maintenance experience preferred.
Must be able to speak read and write in English
Must feel comfortable with working in a team environment consisting of St Brendan employees and outside contractors.
Basic knowledge of plumbing electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to lift move and transport equipment and furniture.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and event schedules.
Commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
Must successfully pass BCI&I and FBI background checks. Must also attend a Protecting Gods Children class.
Physical Requirements
Some heavy lifting and considerable moving of equipment required.
Must be able to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Safety Glasses are required while performing certain tasks.
Masks may be required to be worn while working.
Work Environment:
Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments and shop environments.
Exposed to dust odors oil fumes and noise.
Scheduling:
Due to the nature of the role it may be necessary to change shifts or schedules to accommodate the needs of the parish community we serve. This job can include work primarily done on weekends and evenings as dictated. Adequate notice will be given for scheduling changes.
