Job Summary

Maintenance Engineer
Position Overview
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for improving the reliability availability and maintainability of production equipment and facility systems. This role develops preventive and predictive maintenance strategies analyzes equipment failures manages maintenance projects and supports continuous improvement initiatives to maximize operational performance and reduce downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance (PM) programs for production equipment and facility systems.
  • Analyze equipment failures and identify root causes using problem-solving methodologies.
  • Lead corrective actions to prevent recurring equipment issues.
  • Support predictive maintenance initiatives including vibration analysis thermography oil analysis and condition monitoring.
  • Monitor equipment performance metrics such as uptime MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and MTTR (Mean Time To Repair).
  • Work closely with maintenance technicians to troubleshoot mechanical electrical pneumatic hydraulic and control system issues.
  • Manage equipment upgrades retrofits and reliability improvement projects.
  • Support capital equipment installations and commissioning activities.
  • Develop maintenance procedures work instructions and technical documentation.
  • Assist in spare parts management and inventory optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA company safety policies and applicable regulations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma TPM or Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles.
  • Coordinate work with external contractors and equipment suppliers.
  • Participate in budgeting and maintenance cost reduction activities.
Education:
  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Industrial Engineering or related field.
Experience:
  • 3-7 years of maintenance reliability manufacturing or industrial engineering experience.
  • Experience with industrial production equipment and automated systems.
Preferred Skills:
  • Preventive and Predictive Maintenance (PM/PdM)
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Reliability Engineering
  • PLC troubleshooting
  • Industrial automation and controls
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • CMMS software (Limble Maximo SAP PM eMaint Maintenance Connection etc.)

  • Safety performance
Work Environment:
  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery noise and moving parts
  • Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Physical demands include standing lifting bending and working in confined spaces
