Maintenance Engineer

The Maintenance Engineer participates in managing and maintaining all broadcast and technology related equipment within the facility.

• Help implement new technologies and technical infrastructure for the facility.
• Participate in engineering and other technical projects
• Evaluate select install service and maintain facility broadcast equipment and information technology systems
• Work closely with management and co-workers to ensure company objectives are being met
• Basic understanding of FCC rules and regulations.
• Other duties as needed
• Salary - $20.00 to $29.00 hourly

Requirements & Skills:

• 2 years previous broadcast engineering experience.
• Broadcast equipment repair and maintenance skills required including experience with the repair and maintenance of video cameras video routers ingest and playout servers newscast automation equipment.
• Possess superior troubleshooting skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written
• Ability to meet deadlines prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work extended hours as needed may include overnight and weekends
• Be initiative-taking desire to learn new skills consistent with good engineering/IT practices
