Maintenance Electrician II - $35.50/hr. $1.00/hr. Shift Differential (2nd Shift: 2:00pm - 10:00pm)
Who we are looking for:
We are currently looking for a Maintenance Electrician to be based out of Hobart IN. Reporting to Maintenance Manager this person will be responsible for the installation maintenance and repair of all plant electronic equipment.
What youll do:
Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining a clean safe and efficient workplace by following all 5S Standard.
- Troubleshooting and repairing tubing mills cut to length slitting forklifts overhead cranes banding/packaging equipment.
- Align adjust and calibrate electronic equipment.
- Install electrical circuits following blueprints & schematic diagrams.
What youll bring:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3-5 years of Electrical Maintenance experience.
- Extensive experience in industrial electronics motors interpreting schematics power systems (AC and DC) and testing equipment; extensive knowledge on predictive and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair basic standalone systems with minimum guidance.
Basic level experience knowledge and ability to program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
Basic level experience and knowledge on best practices for bending and installing conduit.
Medium level experience and knowledge in power tools and electric/hydraulic benders.
- Flexibility to work 1st 2nd and 3rd shift; availability to work Saturdays Sundays and holidays (as required).
Within 3 months youll:
- Be troubleshooting installing maintaining and repairing a wide variety of electrical systems and machinery while referencing and interpreting control schematics.
- Be providing assistance to Operations as needed; and effectively working alone or with a team.
- Have working knowledge of all facility equipment.
- Actively completing PM tasks on all facility equipment.
- Be comfortable be working in conditions which could be hot cold dirty dusty greasy wet and noisy.

As of the date of this posting a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $35.50/hr. Placement in the range depends on several factors including but not limited to specific competencies relevant education qualifications certifications relevant experience skills seniority performance shift travel requirements and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include but not limited to overtime shift differentials bonuses commissions stock and other incentives.
