Maintenance Electrician

Heres what you can expect on a typical day as a Maintenance Electrician on our team at Mauser Packaging Solutions:

• Safety: Safety is our number one priority. Youll learn our plant safety guidelines and pass all required safety training including lockout/tagout housekeeping and 5S standards.

• High-Speed Loud Environment: We convert coil to sheets then coat and print them. Its fast and can be loud. Some areas of the plant get very warm in the summer.
• Hard work: Each day youll be bending lifting stooping and like to repair equipment. You will replace sensors contacts or other defective parts. Youll work with PLC equipment multiple small tools and high-voltage equipment. You are responsible for keeping your equipment in safe usable condition and your area safe and tidy at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Follow without exception all work instructions and safety policies including use of all PPE and safety equipment.
• Examine machine controls complete mold changeovers and start up machines for production needs when required.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks on all production equipment and machinery.
• Repair components and replace parts on machines such as bearings cylinders filters wiring valves gauges and switches.
• Observe and listen to mechanical devices in operation to locate root of problem.
• Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
• Lubricate and clean machinery and support equipment to maintain housekeeping and preventive maintenance standards within the plant.
• Document and track changeover times parts used and other findings.
• Accomplish all work orders to maintain safety; reduce downtime; decrease scrap; improve quality production; and improve plant efficiency.
• Follows all safety rules and procedures including Lockout/Tagout program housekeeping and 5S standards and observes the operations to ensure a safe work environment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Read and understand pneumatic hydraulic electric and electronic documentation and drawings and interpret equipment data
• Maintenance and repair of industrial machinery equipment.
• Ability to interpret documents such as procedure manuals blueprints schematics charts diagrams etc.
• Ability to use precision measuring devices including amp meters electric meters and hydraulic gauges.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Good troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to utilize company maintenance software to document and complete work orders preventative maintenance procedures and other necessary tasks.
• Ability to perform work in a mature and professional manner demonstrate personal responsibility and perform all assigned duties.
• High school diploma and general education degree (GED); plus 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of train and experience.
