Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Payroll Application Developer with strong expertise in legacy mainframe technologies to support the development enhancement and maintenance of enterprise payroll systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with endtoend payroll processing in a mainframe environment and the ability to support complex missioncritical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop enhance and maintain mainframe-based payroll applications supporting large-scale payroll processing.
- Analyze payroll business requirements and translate them into technical solutions using mainframe technologies.
- Develop and modify programs in COBOL Assembler Easytrieve and related languages.
- Create maintain and execute JCL for batch payroll processing and reporting.
- Develop and maintain online payroll transactions using CICS including screen development using CICS Maps / CATELON.
- Design write and optimize DB2 and IMS database access queries and programs.
- Support scheduling and automation of payroll jobs using CA Scheduler (or equivalent workload schedulers).
- Work with Rocket Software Mobius for payroll report management archive and retrieval.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve payroll processing errors production incidents and data discrepancies.
- Participate in system testing payroll parallel runs regression testing and production migrations.
- Ensure compliance with payroll regulations security standards audit requirements and SLA commitments.
- Collaborate with business analysts payroll operations QA infrastructure and production support teams.
