Trident Consulting is seeking a Mainframe Database Developer for one of our client in Plano TX. A global leader in business and technology services.
Job Title: Mainframe Database Developer
Location: Plano TX (Onsite/Remote)
Job Type: Contract
Pay Rate: $85
Technical key skills (Mandatory skills):
Expertise in performing SMP/E and Non-SMPE Installation of ISV products)
Expertise in IBM and Broadcom Software product Install and Upgrades
Mastery of DB2 and IMS Database management and utilities
DB2 V12 upgrades or later
IMS V15.5 upgrades or later
Fluent in JCL and IBM Utilities (IEBGENER/IEBCOPY/AMASPZAP/DFDSS)
ISPF/TSO and other basic
Basic knowledge of REXX/CLIST
Designing project plan(upgrades maintenance decom) with task list for all stakeholders and communicating the timelines with delivery and customer.
Formulate roadmaps with all pre-requisites to achieve a project completion.
Job Responsibilities:
Installation & Upgrades: Installing new DB2 and IMS versions and applying maintenance.
Configuring DB2 and IMS subsystem parameters to optimize performance.
Utilizing DB2 and IMS tools to monitor database health and application objects.
Implementing DB2 and IMS security controls and collaborating with DBAs to manage application access.
Performing SOX audits on database objects to ensure compliance standards.
Coordinating with application and system teams to implement database enhancements.
Leading service restoration for issues related to DB2 and associated software products.
Driving continuous improvement in operational resilience disaster recovery and business continuity with measurable KPIs.
