As a Production Machinist youll perform repetitive and precision machining using CNC and manual equipment. Youll follow clear blueprints and work orders to create quality metal parts maintain tolerances and ensure proper setup and inspection of your work. Youll work independently after initial training and collaborate with higher-level machinists as needed.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
Operate lathes mills grinders saws and hand tools to machine parts
Follow blueprints program readouts and instructions to meet specifications
Select proper tools speeds feeds and materials based on work orders
Inspect work using micrometers verniers gauges and preset instruments
Adjust machines manually to control tolerances as needed
Maintain safety cleanliness and organization in the work area
Assist in basic fixture creation and rough setups with guidance
Report to supervisors or higher-level machinists for troubleshooting or complex setups
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation: Pay will be offered based on several factors including the candidates education work experience work location specific job duties and certifications. Benefits: We offer comprehensive benefits to include health and an incentive recognition bonus (all benefits are based on eligibility).
Skills and Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum 2 years of machining experience
Technical school apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on training preferred
Able to read and interpret blueprints and basic machining specs
Strong understanding of machinist math and use of measurement tools
Familiarity with CNC conversational control and basic program edits
Ability to work independently after 4 to 6 months of on-the-job training
Basic computer skills and ability to follow written work instructions
Ability to lift and move up to 50 poundS
