Machinist I 2nd Shift

Job Summary
We are seeking a Machinist I to produce precision components through the operation and programming of CNC and manual machining this role you will set up machines interpret technical drawings and ensure parts are manufactured to strict tolerances and quality standards. You will collaborate with engineering quality and operations teams to optimize machining processes improve efficiency and maintain high-quality production output.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program and operate CNC lathes and milling machines to perform precision machining operations
- Set up machines fixtures and tooling to ensure accurate part production
- Interpret blueprints drawings and engineering specifications to determine machining methods
- Select and recommend appropriate tooling feeds and speeds for machining operations
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure tolerance and quality requirements are met
- Maintain tight tolerances and dimensional accuracy across complex machining operations
- Troubleshoot machining issues and identify defective materials or abnormal conditions
- Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure product quality
- Design or modify fixtures and tooling to support production and special engineering needs
- Maintain equipment work area cleanliness and adherence to all safety procedures
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Machine Technology or related field or equivalent experience (at least 5 years relevant experience)
- Strong knowledge of machining processes tools and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
- Strong mathematical skills (geometry tolerances measurements)
- Ability to maintain high precision and tight tolerances
- Strong problem-solving decision-making collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with CNC programming (lathe and milling)
- Experience designing or modifying fixtures and tooling
- Experience working in a manufacturing or precision machining environment

Work Type: Onsite -This role follows an Onsite Work Schedule and requires working from your designated Regal Rexnord office on a full-time basis.
Expected Base Salary Range: $42000 - $53500
This role may be filled at different levels depending on the candidates experience skills and business needs.
