Job Summary

Responsible for the end-to-end design and fabricating of parts and components to support manufacturing needs. Combines CAD/CAM design with small batch mixed production hands-on machining using CNC milling and slant bed lathes welding and troubleshooting of mechanical issues. Collaborates with maintenance and operations teams on improvements and projects.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Fusion 360 SolidWorks Mastercam etc.
- Ability to set up and operate manual and CNC(Hurco) machining equipment (mills lathes drill presses etc.)
- Ability to design and produce parts to precise specifications.
- Create and send component drawings to 3rd party machining as needed.
- Experience in small batch mixed production environments.
- Perform welding and cutting as needed
- Fabricate and modify equipment guards and fixtures as needed
- Partner with Maintenance Engineering and Operations on equipment improvements
- Support equipment installations startups and modifications
- Document work in CMMS (maintenance management system)
- Assist with continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives
- Education / Experience
Technical degree apprenticeship in machining or related field or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
- Required Skills
Ability to design and machine end-to-end.
CAD/CAM software such as Fusion 360 SolidWorks Mastercam or similar.
Experience with manual and CNC
Experience with welding and general fabrication
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with CMMS systems is a plus
