Pay: $18.00$19.00 per hour depending on experience

What Youll Do

• Perform daily maintenance checks on lathes Landis machines and other machine shop equipment.
• Monitor and maintain proper oil levels lubrication systems and machine operating conditions.
• Conduct pressure testing on pipe measuring 24 inches and larger.
• Inspect lifting straps rigging equipment and other shop safety devices to ensure safe operation.
• Remove metal shavings and debris from machines and surrounding work areas.
• Assist with general housekeeping and organization of the ductile iron shop to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
• Support machine operators by preparing equipment and maintaining shop readiness.
• Operate lathe and Landis machines during periods of downtime or when production support is needed.
• Identify and report maintenance concerns equipment issues or safety hazards to management.
• Follow all company safety policies procedures and quality standards.
• Additionally you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the Ductile Shop area. This includes ensuring the work area is kept clean organized and free of unnecessary debris or materials in accordance with company housekeeping and safety expectations.

Nice to Have

• Experience operating lathes Landis machines or similar industrial equipment.
• Experience performing pressure testing or hydrostatic testing.
• Previous experience in a machine shop fabrication shop or manufacturing environment.
• Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand walk bend stoop and lift throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
