This hands-on leadership role coordinates daily maintenance activities responds to escalated equipment faults and service interruptions performs advancedtroubleshootingand repairs andprovidestechnical guidance to Maintenance Repair Technicians. The Lead helps ensure maintenance work is completed safely accurately and efficiently while supporting reliable 24/7 APM operations.

YOUR IMPACT

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead and support Maintenance Repair Technicians in the inspection maintenance troubleshooting and repair of the Automated People Mover (APM) train system and related infrastructure.

  • Coordinate daily work assignments preventive maintenance activities corrective repairs inspections and response to equipment faults and service interruptions.

  • Respond to escalated APM train system faults malfunctions alarms outages and service interruptions and provide hands-on technical support to restore system operation.

  • Provide technical direction andassistanceto Maintenance Repair Technicians during complex repairs emergency maintenance system testing and recurring equipment failures.

  • Identifyandassistwithdeterminingroot causes of repeat failures and communicate equipment reliability concerns and recommended corrective actions to management.

  • Monitor assigned maintenance activities and verify repairs inspections and preventive maintenance tasks are completed according to OEM procedures and established maintenance standards.

  • Review and ensureaccuratedocumentation of work performed equipment status inspections parts used faults and repair activities in CMMS.

  • Support the training and development of Maintenance Repair Technicians by providing hands-on instruction technical guidance and reinforcement of proper maintenance and troubleshooting practices.

  • Assistwith shift turnover by communicating open work orders equipment status outstanding repairs operational concerns and other information necessary tomaintaincontinuity between shifts.

  • Follow and reinforce OEM procedures lockout/tagout requirements airport rules company policies PPE requirements and all applicable safety and training requirements.

  • Support 24/7 airport operations including nights weekends holidays emergency response and work in stations tunnels maintenance facilities tight spaces and elevated areas as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED with5 years of mechanical electrical industrial maintenance rail/transit maintenance airport equipment maintenance or related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • Valid Drivers License and ability to obtain andmaintainnecessary airport security clearances.

  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment.

  • Experience providing technical direction training mentoring or work guidance to maintenance technicians or other skilled personnel.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics wiring diagrams mechanical drawings technical manuals and equipment documentation.

  • Experience coordinating and prioritizing preventive maintenance corrective maintenance inspections and emergency repairs based on safety and operational needs.

  • Working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) electrical safety PPE requirements and safe maintenance practices with the ability to reinforce established safety procedures within the team.

  • Ability to support 24/7 airport operations including day or night shifts weekends holidays overtime and on-call assignments as needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical degree certificate or vocational training in electrical mechanical industrial maintenance electronics automation or a related field.

  • Previousairport aviation rail transit Automated People Mover industrial maintenance or field service experience.

  • Experience troubleshooting motors sensors control panels PLCs HMIs VFDs mechanical drives and electrical control systems.

  • Experience with train propulsion braking automatic door station guideway or similar transportation systems.

  • Previouslead senior technician or technical mentoring experience in a maintenance environment.

  • Experience using CMMS software to manage work orders document maintenance activities and track equipment history.

  • Workingproficiencywith computers and common software applications including word processing and spreadsheets.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of a Machine Repair Technician Lead the employeeis regularly required tostand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop kneel crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee isfrequentlyrequired to climb or balance and work in small spaces. Ladder work. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in outside weather conditions on an airport ramp around aircrafts and the confined areas of airport equipment and systems. Specific vision abilities required by this job include goodclose proximityvision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Good hand / eye coordination is.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment issimilar toairport operation with vehicular traffic. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts high precarious places outside weather conditionsfumesor airborne particles toxic or caustic chemicals cold heat and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Employees will work in active airport operational areas around aircrafts vehicles and heavy equipment.
