POSITION SUMMARY:

TheMachine Operator (Doctor Dept)willAssist in producing and controlling the quality of film produced. They are tasked with ensuring product quality and control of production processes providing a safe work environment through proper training and communication.Thispositionis responsible forworking closely with the Lead Operator and Assistant Production Manager to ensure customer quality expectations and site goals andobjectivesarebeing met.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurately report and document any problems issuesdowntimeand corrective measures in thelinelog book.
• Assistsin the training of new hires.
• Responsible for ensuring finished products are within customer specifications.
• Ensure and verify all outgoing products are labeled and packaged according to customerspecifications.
• Responsible for housekeeping on the line and adjacent areas. Follow GMP & 5S guidelines.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Demonstrate asafetyconscious manner.
• Ensure proper and safe use of all facility equipment.
• Work with maintenance technicians to complete minor and preventative maintenance on the line
• Maintain communication with Lead Operator and Assistant Production Manager of any problemsor issues experienced on the line that could result in an extended period of downtime.
• Maintain daily productionrateat acceptable levels asdeterminedby management. Keep machinedowntime to a minimum to maximize output rates.
• Support plant and company goals.
• Perform all quality checks accurately and ensure that all data is recorded properly on checklists.
• Can make quality decisions on materials for shipment or rejection.
• Ensure thatoncomingshift has all materials needed to get started at the beginning of the shift.
• Ensure that all FIFO requirements are followed.
• EnsureLean Initiatives are achieved.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• S. Diploma or GED
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledgeof andskills in the use of office machines (computerand printers) and business procedures. Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude and experience.

• Requires prolonged sitting and frequent bending (20%) standing and walking (65%) occasional lifting and carrying of up to 50lbs pulling and pushing (15%utilizingmaterial handling equipment to lift & move rolls averaging 175lbs) manual dexterity and the ability to distinguish numbers & letters.

• While performing the duties of thejobthe employeeregularly worksnear moving machinery and forklift traffic.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with frequent excursions into high noise areas
• Occasionallifting upto 35 lbs. and the use of equipment.
