Position summary:
The Nursing Home Registered Nurse position assists with day-to-day nursing activities. This is an important role that requires accuracy attention to detail and a passion for providing exceptional healthcare.
Essential job duties:
- Timely communication to physicians families etc. of significant changes in resident condition
- Complete all applicable resident assessments
- Complete medication administration while following the 5 Rights
- Perform wound care and assessments as needed
- Assist CNAs with answering call lights
- Monitor residents for changes in condition
- Act as leader on the floor by assessing and directing situations as needed
- Report any allegations of abuse neglect or misappropriation to Director of Nursing and Administrator
- Maintain accurate resident records with thorough and accurate charting
- Perform other duties as requested.
Required qualifications:required qualifications to effectively perform job.
- An equivalent combination of education training and experience will be considered.
- Two-year degree in nursing required. Four-year degree in nursing preferred.
- Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Registered Nursing license.
- Current CPR/BLS certification required.
- 1 years of related work experience preferred.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required
