Job Summary:

The Hastings Area School System seeks a candidate for an LRE para position under the HESPA agreement to work with students in the Level III program.

Duties may include (but are not limited to):

Provide academic support to students with IEPs within the general education setting.

Reinforce teacher-directed instruction through small-group or individualized support.

Support implementation of accommodations and modifications as outlined in students IEPs.

Collect data on student progress toward goals as directed by the special education teacher.

Implement positive behavior support strategies and reinforcement systems as directed.

Assist students in developing self-regulation communication and social-emotional skills.

Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with staff and students

Experience working with children especially students with disabilities preferred.

Ability to follow instructional plans collect data and support student needs.

Strong communication collaboration and problem-solving skills
