Job Summary
Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Site Administrator/Coordinator the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides nursing services to patients within a correctional environment. The LPN delivers nursing care as directed by the Physician within the scope of the State Board of Nursing Practice for the LPN. Day and Night Shift Avaliable. $2/hr shift diff when working 6pm to 6:30am.
- Respond and intervein to all emergency situations
- Conduct Patient Intake paperwork
- Verify and obtain orders for patient medication
- Conduct Sick Call clinic
- Order / maintain supply of patient medication from pharmacy
- Administer medications following nursing standards and correctional regulations
- Complete and document ordered treatments patient care and collection ordered labs
- Assist provider with Chronic Care Clinic and Provider sick call visit
- Monitor for report and document changes in patients condition
- Accurately document all patient information nursing care and interventions
- Ensure daily nursing task are completed within prescribed timeframe.
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Assist with training and orientation of new personnel
- Follow QCHC policies procedures & guidelines
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Successful completion of an Accredited Vocational/Technical School
Current and valid LPN or LVN license
Current CPR
Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a health care setting as as LPN. One year experience in a correctional health care setting is preferred.
