Job Description:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is an integral member of the health care team providing compassionate individualized patient care under the direction of a registered nurse or provider. The LPN performs designated elements of patient care and supports the clinical team in delivering safe efficient and high-quality care to patients.

• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice for a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Assists the registered nurse and providers with the delivery of individualized patient care.
• Performs assigned clinical and patient care activities in accordance with established policies procedures and standards.
• Assists with maintaining a safe clean and organized clinical environment.
• Documents patient care and clinical information accurately and timely.
• Communicates effectively with patients families providers and members of the health care team.
• Supports the overall operations of the vascular surgery clinic and contributes to a positive patient experience.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an approved practical nursing program.
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Clinic experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required with other advanced training as appropriate.
