This is the position for you if you love to will be involved with research for new devices new drug studies with surgeons and part of a great team.

How youll contribute

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who excels in this role:

• Performs plan of care interventions including specimen collection and wound care. May administer medication.
• Documents patient care given.
• Assists RN with development of plan of care.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living including personal hygiene elimination nutrition and ambulation.
• Monitors documents and communicates patients status and reactions to interventions with RN physician patient and families.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Schedules appointments and procedures as ordered by the provider.
• Obtains insurance re-authorizations as requested for testing and scheduled procedures.

What were looking for

Applicants must have an active Virginia LPN license (single-state) or compact license. If relocating licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins. Graduate from a school of practical nursing required.

Additional requirements include:

• AHA BLS certification required.

• Previous nursing experience required.

• Previous research experience preferred.
