Job Summary

Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) specializing in pediatric care to join our team in Brevard. This pivotal role focuses on delivering compassionate and specialized nursing services to young patients ensuring their health and well-being through expert clinical management. The position demands a professional who can effectively navigate the unique medical needs of children providing essential support in a dynamic healthcare environment while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and family-centered care.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients with a specific focus on managing complex respiratory and nutritional needs.
  • Perform skilled assessments and ongoing monitoring for children requiring tracheotomy care and ventilator support.
  • Execute and manage gastronomy tube (G-tube) feeding protocols ensuring proper administration and site maintenance.
  • Collaborate closely with the medical team families and caregivers to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to established pediatric guidelines and physician orders.
  • Document patient progress interventions and responses accurately within medical records.
  • Educate families on home care techniques related to respiratory support and enteral feeding.

Requirements
Requirements:
  • Current and active LPN license.
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of hands-on clinical experience in a pediatric setting.
  • Proven proficiency in managing tracheotomies and operating ventilators for pediatric patients.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the care and management of G-tubes.
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to respond effectively to pediatric emergencies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the capacity to connect with children and their families.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe sterile and supportive care environment.

Required Skills:

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Current state or multi-state license as a Registered Nurse or LPN Current CPR. Valid drivers license with reliable transportation. Preferred at least one year of home health experience


Required Education:

Valid and clear RN /LPN License from the State of Florida or multistate1 year home health experience preferred but willing to trainKnowledge of Florida state home health regulationsCurrent BLS certificationBilingual Spanish/English a huge plus
